HIJACKED? yup.
Hi Everyone!
Corey has had a terrible migraine all day so while Mom takes care of her, you get me. Okay, so I’ve been brainstorming some fundraiser ideas and then it hit me. MOVIES. What does everyone do? Watch movies. What does everyone steal? Movies. What does everyone want to do? Be in movies. Now, you may be thinking, “Caitlin, making a movie would cost us millions of dollars and not fundraise anything!” Well, you would be right. But I’m one step ahead of you.
You see, we’re not going to make a movie from scratch. That TAKES money. We’re going to rip off existing movies and edit Corey into them. That MAKES money. I know, you don’t have to say it. GENIUS.
Here are a few ideas I’ve come up with:
Beauty and the Beef: A beautiful young vegetarian lives in the foothills of France (Corey) but always felt like her town was too small for her overactive imagination. After some stuff with some wolves, her crazy Dad gets locked in the tower of a neighboring castle where everything in under a terrible spell, even the Prince. Once handsome (but a jerk) was transformed into Beef. To lift the spell, the Beef must find a woman who loves him for who he is, and not his rare exterior. With time running out, can she ever love Beef?
Decent Dancing: A beautiful young woman (Corey) has always been the Baby of the family. But in the summer of 1963 her family takes a vacation and she meets someone unlike anyone she’s ever known (Patrick Swayze). After some stuff with a barn and a watermelon and a girl gets pregnant it is up to her to learn as much as she can from her dance instructor (Swayze) so she can become a decent dancer and not mess everything up. And then they fall in love. Obviously.
Akeelah and the Brie: A young girl from South Los Angeles (Corey) tries to make it to the Annual Brie Tournament. She has always had a passion for soft cow cheeses and with the support of her family and new Brie Tutor (played by Laurence Fishburne) she studies to follow her dream and make it to the top.
Best Eyed Story: A beautiful young girl (Corey) has been voted the most beautiful blue eyes in her whole town. She has lots of blue eyed friends. Her family all has blue eyes. She only wears blue. That’s they way it’s always been. Until some stuff at a dance and some streamers and other dance stuff happens and she meets Tony. He has brown eyes. Best Eyed Story tells the classically tragic tale of star crossed lovers and choreographed gang rumbles.
Overworking Girl: A beautiful girl (Corey) always had dreams to work her way to the top, but never quite made it there. After she finds her prematurely balding boyfriend (Alec Baldwin) in cahoots with another woman, she finally had enough. After she cuts her hair and other transformation stuff she is determined to work as HARD AS SHE CAN EVERY SINGLE DAY until she gets everything she deserves.
I’m feeling pretty strongly about this you guys. I think producers at MGM will ultimately agree with me.
