Hi Everyone,

Have you ever seen a juggling act? The juggler starts with one or two objects. The assistant then tosses additional objects at the juggler who seamlessly adds them to his balancing act. The audience is amazed at the complexity and dexterity of the juggler but he is focused and determined to keep it all up in the air. This analogy best describes my day. “Life” and its responsibilities is my assistant (which doesn’t throw one object at a time…it likes firing two or three at a time).

Today was one of those days that in between appointments and meetings, I was researching, strategizing and collating information for our appeal. Although we are preparing to bring Corey home in just 9 days, I still have the opportunity for a formal appeal to try to extend her stay. I’m going to keep fighting until the eleventh hour!

Juggling a fulltime job, research for the appeal to fight insurance, phone calls, medical bills, regular bills, and spending time with Corey, not living at home yet coordinating the renovations with two amazing friends that have assumed the role of project managers (but insist on staying anonymous) and let’s not forget just finding 10 minutes to enjoy what surrounds me.

What the audience doesn’t notice but if you look closely, the juggler is using every ounce of mental concentration and physical energy within him to keep those objects from crashing to the floor. When I feel the balance shift or hesitate for just a second, that’s when I reach for my motivational readings. Appropriately titled, “TODAY” was sent to me by a good friend that knows these readings and quips keep my foundation from cracking. They help me keep my balance. This reading is so good; I wanted to share it with all of you.
Thank you my friend. Corey and I both enjoyed these words. Xoxo

TODAY
Today I will delete from my diary
two days: yesterday and tomorrow.

Yesterday was to learn,
and tomorrow will be the consequence
of what I can do today.

Today I will face life
with the conviction that this day
will not ever return.

Today is the last opportunity
I have to live intensely;
as no one can assure me
that I will see tomorrow’s sunrise.

Today I will be brave enough
not to let any opportunity pass me by,
my only objective is to succeed.

Today I will invest
my most valuable resource:
my time,
in the most transcendental work:
my life;

Today I will spend each minute
passionately to make it a different
and unique day in my life.

Today I will defy every obstacle
that appears in my way,
trusting I will succeed.

Today I will resist
pessimism and will conquer
the world with a smile,
and a positive attitude
of always expecting the best.

Today I will take the time to be happy
and will leave my footprints and my presence
in the hearts of others.

Today, I invite you to begin a new season
where we can dream,
that everything we undertake is possible
and we fulfill it,
with joy and dignity.
